Neumann Clinches 2nd Straight Regular Season Title
Remains unbeaten in last 47 regular season games

Neumann University skated to resounding 16-1 victory this morning over Rhode Island to claim the outright regular season title. Neumann will enter the playoffs as the top seed for the second straight season.
Neumann is currently in the midst of a 47 game unbeaten streak in regular season play, dating back to November 3rd, 2012 when Hofstra University took down the Knights by a 4-1 score. Since that time, Neumann has ran off the streak which includes 46 wins and 1 tie for a 46-0-1 mark.
With two games remaining on the season, both to be played on February 21st in Old Bethpage, NY, Neumann has a chance to finish with back-to-back perfect 18-0-0 records. Standing in the way will be Rowan University (8-6-1) and Temple University (6-7-2).
Neumann ended a 9-year stretch that saw 9-different schools claim the top spot heading into the playoffs with the top seed in Division 1. Neumann would have to repeat next season to match the dominance of the Towson Tigers program who took 3-straight between 2003-2006.
The remainder of the playoff seeding will shake out next weekend.
