Chris Beltz and 3rd ranked Slippery Rock made a statement this weekend at Marple Sports Arena. Beltz scored 4 goals and added 8 assists for 12 points. After three games, Beltz is leading the ECRHA B Division in scoring. 

 

Beltz got his weekend off to a flying start with a 5-point performance against Neumann University. With 3 goals and 2 assists he was named the player of the game as Slippery Rock earned a 8-3 victory. 

 

Against 7th ranked Temple University, Beltz assisted on three Slippery Rock goals during the 8-2 victory. Temple and Slippery Rock were heated rivals all last season, but the Beltz lead Slippery Rock squad jumped out to a 6-0 lead and never looked back.

 

The final contest of the weekend was a rematch of the B Division Championship from last year. West Chester won the title over Slippery Rock 8-5 last season, but the tide has turned. Beltz scored a goal and picked up 4 assists during a 5-point game as Slippery Rock dominated West Chester 11-4.
