Mike Gwon Leads Northeastern

Gwon started the weekend against Stony Brook by scoring a goal and adding an assists in a 4-1 victory. The victory was the first regular season win for Northeastern as a Division I team since 2/19/05, a span of 3,165 days.
In the second game of the weekend against the ranked #15 Hofstra, Gwon recorded a hat trick and added an assist for a four point game. Gwon's two second period tallies proved to be the difference makers.

With Northeastern sitting at 2-0-0 on the weekend and Rhode Island playing at home, Gwon once against stepped up his game. Gwon recorded his second consecutive hat trick to lead Northeastern past URI 6-4. Gwon scored the game-tying goal at 6:47 of the second period, just 15 seconds after Rhode Island took a 4-3 lead.
