Penn State Drops Brockport 3-2

Winning Streak Now At 11

Harrisburg, Pa -  Patrick Keyes was the star in goal for Brockport, but Dustin Roux's two goals were more than Brockport could handle as Penn State won for the 11 straight time, winning 3-2.

Patrick Keyes was the star of the first period, turning aside countless Penn State opportunities to take the lead, making 11 saves the keep things tied at 0-0 after one.

Brockport made Keyes hard work pay off when they found the back of the net for the lead. Enjoy the man advantage, Jeremy Wiseman fired a well placed wrist shot from the point for the 1-0 lead midway through the second period.

The second period end with Brockport clinging to a 1-0 lead. Goaltending was the story of the first two period, with both Keyes and Mitchell Reinhold combining to save 32 of 33 saves setting up an exciting third period.

Penn State finally found a way to solve the wall that had been Keyes. Dustin Roux found some open room and laced a wrister just past the outstretched pad of Keyes to tie things at one.

Penn State took the lead by taking advantage of untimely penalties, the first goal coming on a delayed penalty call, the second a power play. John Scavelli and Roux scored less than a minute apart to give Penn State a 3-1 lead.

With the net empty and time expiring, Brockport managed to cut the lead in half with Jeremy Wiseman scoring on a spinning backhand that found pay dirt with 9 second remaining. Brockport called a timeout, but couldn't muster a final shot, falling for the second time in as many days to Penn State 3-2.
