Tonight, the University at Buffalo D1 and B squads will hold their last practice before leaving Friday afternoon to compete in the ECRHA Regional Championships - the goal for each team: to bring home the cup.

D1 Update:
The boys have been preparing for this all season - for outgoing seniors Jay SLUTsky and Steve Ostrow, it is their last shot at ECRHA glory.   Coming up one point short of winning the regular season title - the Wings are craving the cup.  They will look to their top combo of "Baby" Joe Malinowski and Tyler "Kisto" Walser to go on a scoring rampage this weekend.  The line of Adam Hirsch and Jason Franco will also be needed to get on the scoresheet, while continuing their season-long streak of playing physical and shutting down the other team.  Look for Brandon "The Franchise" Gasiewicz to play very Paul Coffey-esque this weekend.  Shaun Golden looks forward to seeing his old friend, the men in stripes.  Richie "The Tone" LaTona looks forward to getting back to work after missing the final 3 regular season games.  While many throughout the nation has seemingly counted out the boys from Buffalo- I would advise that no one counts them out.  As this is now playoff hockey - and coach Mike Brennan is looking forward to letting the animals out of their cages.  SWEET CAROLINE!

B Report:
Finishing their season undefeated - the boys are looking to continue their ways and dominate the opposition this upcoming weekend.  Relying on the goaltending of Chris Territo and their numerous offensive weapons, Timmy Newbold, Jeff Elias, Ryan Kelly, and the KLIMEK BROTHERS.  Defensively, Kevin "The General" Cook"ski," Nick "Von" Narchus, and Brian Goldman will look to anchor the back end and block 100+ shots.  Coach Mike Brennan offers the opportunity to any ECRHA coach to match the power that he displays on the B bench.

See you on Monday when we upload pictures with the Cups!!!

Someone said that the UB Wings are the most organized, most in shape, and least fun to watch in the ECRHA ?
