The Rutgers Division 1 team finished off a 4-0 weekend with an 8-2 victory over perennial ECRHA powerhouse University of Maryland at the Sportsplex in Feasterville, PA. The Knights were dominant the entire weekend, rolling over conference rivals SUNY Binghamton 5-2 and the University of Pittsburgh 8-2, while also winning an exhibition contest over Hofstra by a score of 13-2. The Knights only allowed one goal at even strength the entire weekend, while scoring on over 75% of their power play chances. The Knights improved to 6-1-0 and 8-1-0 overall, good enough for first place in the Central Conference of the ECRHA's Division 1.

The Rutgers B team started the weekend off slow, dropping a tough 3-2 game to SUNY Binghamton B. Motivated by the disappointing loss, the Rutgers B squad crushed the remainder of its opponents, defeating James Madison University 8-1, University of Maryland 6-2, and University of Pittsburgh 11-5. The B team left Feasterville with 3 wins and 1 loss, for an overall record of 5-2-0 on the season. The B Knights currently sit in second place in the B Division Northern conference, trailing only the undefeated Suffolk Community College.

Both teams get back in action this weekend as the Scarlet Knights will host their only home event of the season at the Center Circle in Rahway, NJ.

The weekend will be highlighted with two nationally-ranked powerhouses facing off, as Rutgers will be taking on division rival Rochester Institute of Technology. Last time the two teams met, the Knights defeated the RIT Tigers by a score of 7-6, capped off by a 4-goal performance by sophmore Rob Fulton. In the past year, RIT and Rutgers have developed a rivalry, as RIT trounced Rutgers in the opening round of the ECRHA Regional Championships last March. However, this upstart Rutgers squad looks to defeat RIT for the second time this season as they continue their march towards a Regional Championship.
