<![CDATA[Dracut Recap]]> The ECRHA continued the 2nd half of the season in Dracut, MA, as D1, D2, and D4 took to the rink, and we had a couple relative surprises throughout the weekend. In D1 contests, we saw Rhode Island shutout and upset UMass 1-0 in an absolute chess match. It was Stephen Falkowski who finally solved Jordan Davis at 9:21 of the third period to upset the Minutemen, and earn a valuable tally in the win column for the Rams.

<![CDATA[ISCA Recap]]> Following the ECRHA Challenge Cup, Spring Semester play kicked off at I.S.C.A. in North Arlington, NJ. We saw teams in D1, D2, and D3, all face off and start the semester looking to make as much progress and gain as much momentum as possible heading into the Regional Championships.

<![CDATA[East Carolina Unbeaten, Stony Brook Wins In Overtime]]> After opening the weekend with back-to-back losses, Stony Brook finally got their first win in overtime against Ohio State. Ohio State's Mohammed Dweik scored with 2:50 left in the third period to force overtime, but it was James Loglisci's rebound goal in overtime that propelled Stony Brook to the victory.

Sat, 21 Jan 2017 01:12:00 CST
<![CDATA[Akron, Northeastern Pick Up Wins]]> After dropping a 9-1 decision in their openers against Akron, Northeastern needed a win against Ohio State. It was Matthew Bentson who lead the way for the Huskies, scoring 2 goals and 2 assists in a tight 4-3 victory over Ohio State. Ohio State played well in their first game of the tournament, but couldn't get the offense going.

Sat, 21 Jan 2017 08:23:00 CST
<![CDATA[Akron, East Carolina Roll In Opener]]> Akron used a huge first period to roll over Northeastern in the opener of the Division II ECRHA Challenge Cup. Joey Nahay did everything for Akron, scoring 3 goals and registering 4 assists in the victory. Korey Davis stopped 19 of 20 shots on goal to limit Northeasterns offense in the opener.

<![CDATA[Division 1 Fall Recap]]> If you want to watch incredible roller hockey with the chance of a highlight reel play, a miraculous upset, or incredible scoring, just stop by for any ECRHA Division 1 matchup this Spring. If Fall 2016 was any indication for how this year is going to pan out in D1, we have a long road ahead of us to finding not only a regional champion, but eventually a national champion as well.

Tue, 03 Jan 2017 10:29:00 CST
<![CDATA[Division 2 Fall Recap]]> New faces are appearing at the top of the D2 standings and showing that although some may be new to D2, they are not to be slept on moving towards the end of the season. Division 2 is probably the most diverse division as of the end of the Fall semester in the ECRHA, however, that by no means indicates that it is smooth sailing to the Regional Championships for some of these teams.

Wed, 07 Dec 2016 11:29:00 CST
<![CDATA[Division 3 Fall Recap]]> If there’s a way to describe Division 3 in the ECRHA, that phrase would probably be, “New Faces.” This year, we saw Division 3’s teams go down to 6 teams. Because of the relatively low amount, all six teams will make the Regional Championships in March. Now, D3 is in the same boat as Division 1 and 2, as they will be ridding of the former pool play playoff format, in exchange for a double elimination bracket setting.

Sun, 04 Dec 2016 02:39:00 CST
<![CDATA[Division 4 Fall Recap]]> Division Four this year in the ECRHA could possibly be the closest and most unfinished division heading into the Spring Semester. With anywhere from six to eight games remaining for the teams, 10 points is the difference between RIT who currently sits atop the division, and 10th place Vermont. So needless to say, the race to Regionals is far from over for all of these teams.

<![CDATA[Endicott Roller Hockey Off to a Fast Start]]> The Endicott College Roller Hockey Team is off to a great start. In the Gulls' inaugural season, they have played seven games and are 4-2-1. In its fourth game, Endicott jumped out to a 3-0 lead over Yeshiva but ran out of gas late to drop the game, 6-4.

<![CDATA[ECRHA Divisional Breakdown ]]> As we near the halfway point of the season, things are beginning to become very interesting in all four divisions as the race to Regionals continues. Things started well for Neumann, who behind goals from Shane Fox and Tyler Kraft took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

<![CDATA[Neumann Remains Undefeated, Takes Down Farmingdale]]> There was much anticipation and hype when Neumann and Farmingdale got together last night at Skate Safe America in Old Bethpage, NY.

Neumann, who has won two straight national championships and 67 straight games against ECRHA opposition was confident. Farmingdale, in just their second season in division one and two years removed from a division two national championship was cautiously optimistic.

Sun, 06 Nov 2016 01:11:00 CST
<![CDATA[Battle Of The Unbeatens]]> Neumann and Farmingdale have successfully navigated the early season schedule and have set up one of the most talked about games early this season.

<![CDATA[Hofstra Earns First Win Over Cortland]]> Hofstra was the final division one team without a victory and a little home cooking was just what the doctor ordered. Playing just 13 miles from campus, Hofstra used an early third period goal from Andrew Gagnon to spark the first victory of the year.

It was Gagnon who opened the scoring for Hofstra when his first period tally put the Pride up 1-0.
